About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide patient care and assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of clients.
- Assist clients with medication management and ensure adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Implement care plans for individuals with specific needs such as dementia or hospice care.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to relevant healthcare professionals.
- Ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties when necessary.
Requirements
- Strong background in patient care, with experience in senior care or home care settings preferred.
- Knowledge of first aid practices and emergency response procedures.
- Ability to provide specialised care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and their families.
- Empathy and patience when dealing with clients' needs and concerns.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as required.
